The first trip, I was asked often what my cause was, that one I really didn't have one, but now I do. I am riding for awareness, not just about Uterine Cancer, but our health in general. We know ourselves better than any doctor, stand up and fight for yourself, it may just save your life.
Head to the Facebook page, Kathleen's Wild Ride, once again updated most days by my friends Mary and Jay.

With a mighty Hi Ho Stripy and away we go . . .

Greetings and salutations to you all. Much has happened to me in the last year and a half some good, some not so good. All of it has brought me to this day. The day before I head out for a little ride again. The past few weeks have been filled with frantic planning, shopping, reprioritizing and general spinning in circles. I am sitting here in the room I have been occupying in my StepMother's home amidst a partially packed set of saddle bags, laundry finishing in the washer, staring off into space. I leave tomorrow, at 10 a.m. for the Oregon coast. This time not alone. Jessica, a long time friend and former client, will be accompanying me at least to the coast and back, possibly across the state. The final distance she goes depends on her, her new and very green horse, Sky, and whether or not I shoot her. Several of my friends have started a pool, which I am sure will make its way to Vegas, on what day I finally shoot her. I know, kind of morbid, but all of those that know me will agree on this, I am actually crazy. I mean who rides across the country alone? A crazy person. So I bid you all goodnight and sweet dreams as I finish my packing and clean my gun . . .
